It would have been fun if you could have joined us at 6:00 PM at Seton Harvest, 9400 New Harmony Road, for a delicious meal prepared by Culinary Innovations, beverages by Working Distributors, dessert by Be Happy Pie Company, live music and a short tour of the farm.

On the farm tour we would have looked inside the new hydroponic greenhouse, part of The Daughter's of Charity's answer to the clean food shortage. But, no, that's not happening this year.

Since we travel as a pack it will be too difficult to maintain social distancing during tours and retreats. Refunds were made to all who prepaid.

This Chocolate Tour has been canceled due to COVID19 as we allow time for the local restaurants get their footing once again.

Our restaurant partners on this tour would have been Arazu on Main, Parlor Doughnuts and River City Coffee & Goods. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The Chocolate Tours are the only tours that include a yummy goodie bag filled with luscious, creamy chocolates! Once we even stuffed in a can of YOO-HOO! for everyone. That was a blast from the past!

Franklin Street is where its at in Evansville! Let's start at Damsel's Brewery at 6:00 with a snappy appetizer and matching beer. Then we'll head over to Franklin Street Pizza Factory for the best thin crust pizza in town! Just down the street a bit is Bud's Country Bar and Grill where we'll have one of their really great specials. We'll end up at either Smitty's or Gerst Haus for dessert and coffee -- it'll be one place or the other and both are very good! This is an Adults Only tour.

Creepy COVID19 canceled this tour.

We' would have started with appetizers and a pitcher of beer at Walton's International Comfort Food at 6:00. We'll stroll over to Mo's House and grab a comfy table in The Powder Room where we will enjoy a couple of fabulous handcrafted adult beverages that will wet your whistle nicely. After that, Schymick's Kitchen for a good meal and finally, we'll cross the street to SAUCED for unforgettable dessert and coffee. This is always a fun night out! Adults only!

If you've never had the pleasure of eating at Famous Bistro and the opportunity to learn something about Greek culture, this is your moment! We'll taste truly authentic Greek food made the old world way. I'm going to love every bite and so will you!

Mellow Mushroom. The name says it all and will call out to you if you're a tie-dyed shirt, hummus loving hippie throwback. Come and relive the sixties with us as we sink our teeth into some far out munchies!

Specialty pizza is what Fetta does. Every bite is delicious. We'll have several bites! 

We'll relax and finish the tour at Colby’s where the desserts are Big! Beautiful! Bodacious!

Owensboro has a trolley and we'll squeeze in a spin around town for a quick look at the local sites. Along the way we’ll stroll the magnificent riverfront and catch a breeze on their smooth glide swings. We’ll take a peek inside the new convention center and do a little shopping along the way. A Saturday lunch tour in Owensboro will leave you feeling refreshed and satisfied.

Jennings Street Newburgh Lunch Tour  Let's meet at 11:00 at Cafe Arazu at 17 West Jennings Street for a nice start to our lunch. We'll walk next door to Cleo's Bakery for quiche, or whatever they're making that is the special that day. We'll have dessert and special coffee drinks at The Refinery. We'll stop for ice cream at Ben & Penny's. If the day is nice we'll take a short stroll on the riverfront.  $48

As an added bonus, let's swing by ART HUB CT to view life-like paintings by Chris Thomas and his art students. Most people can't help but exclaim how lovely the paintings are!

This tour has been CANCELED due to COVID19.

This dinner and roving front porch music tour of the Haynie's Corner Arts District would have started at 4:30 with a meal and something good to drink at The Corner's newest hotspot -- Schymick's Kitchen. Unlike a typical tour where we go to 4 places, we would have eaten a whole meal with beverages at this place only before the walking music tour!

 We'll try this tour again next year, but I can't say yet where we will eat first.  After we eat we'll follow the music and hear at least one song from as many of the bands as possible until it's over at 8:00. Last year there were 47 musical groups and we heard just about every one of them! Who knows how many there will be this time around.

We will be walking and standing for about 3 hours, so consider that when choosing your comfortable shoes. You may bring a lawn chair, but last year we didn't end up using them.

​Sorry but due to the CORVID-19 pandemic we will continue to social distance and will cancel the May tours. Ley's hope we can have some tours eventually in 2020, but for now we want to be as safe as we know how. Thanks. Cheryl

We'll finish with Miss Penny's extraordinary desserts and coffees at ARAZU ON MAIN.

"Private Retreat in New Harmony: 7 Ways To Live The Good Life Today" is a two night retreat for up to ten guests, to be held at the beautiful A.C. Thomas House. The ACTH is a remarkably well restored Victorian bed and breakfast in beautiful New Harmony, Indiana. Check-in starts at 4:00 with a complimentary Happy Hour.

​

Your hostess, Chef Cheryl Mochau, will prepare an evening meal to remember. A sample menu:  Parmesan Artichoke Hearts on Baguette, Butternut Squash Soup with Fresh Rolls and Creamy Butter. The entree will be Apricot-Onion Rock Cornish Game Hens, Twice-baked Potatoes and Harvest Vegetable Medley. For dessert, no need to choose, enjoy a sliver of each; Rich, dense Chocolate Torte and Fresh Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Icing. Dinner will be served in the dining room.

After dinner we will enjoy one of the seven arts: conversation. This will be a fun evening with plenty of laughter woven among the lessons for The Good Life.

​

Breakfast will be prepared for us by the ACTHouse Manager.

​

Midmorning will consist of learning six more "Arts for the Good Life" and how to let them work wonders for you in today's world.

Lunch will be a culinary tour provided by Evansville Culinary Tours. We will walk around the historic town and make four stops for food and drink. We'll enjoy simple appetizers at Capers Emporium, wine at Sara's Wine Bar, a seasonal main dish at The Red Geranium. Fabulous dessert and coffee will await us at the Yellow Tavern. Evansville Culinary Tours are popular with foodies in the tri-state and this particular tour will be one of the best ever offered in New Harmony.

Overall, we will walk less than a mile on the food tour, however the sidewalks are uneven in spots, and we won't know what the weather is until then, so wear comfortable shoes or boots.

There will be time before dinner to go out on your own to further explore New Harmony, or to relax in the comfortable, luxurious A.C. Thomas House.

Saturday's dinner will be a hands-on cooking class. We will learn to make authentic Monte Cristo sandwiches. If you've never had one, they are a luxurious sandwich made with fresh from the griddle Challah French Toast slathered with a nice little sauce and stacked with ham, turkey and Swiss cheese. This is melted and served with a sprinkling of confectioner's sugar, a ramekin of maple syrup and another of fresh fruit. True Monte Cristo sandwiches are an experience all unto themselves!

Sunday breakfast will be provided by the bed and breakfast.

​

Sunday morning we will be sure to get a photo of the group and take some time to recap the weekend. Anyone who wishes to may share their experience with the group.

Sleeping arrangements: There are five 2-person bedrooms, the Loft sleeps two, and the Gallery Suite has two bedrooms plus a pull out coach, (two twins, one queen and the queen pull-out couch). Each bedroom has a private bath. The whole house sleeps 16, so we can spread out for comfort.

This group tour is priced at $6,599 and is designed for up to ten people.

​

Why only 10 people when the place sleeps 16? The dining room only seats 10 and the first evening's meal is a lovely dinner meant to be savored and enjoyed in comfort.

Meet at COMFORT BY CROSSEYED CRICKET at 11:30 and enjoy a taste of their signature dish. Then we'll walk a few blocks for the full flavor tastes of ARAZU ON MAIN. You haven't lived unless you've experienced the tender sweetness cooked up at PARLOR DOUGHNUTS! We'll pick up some amazing Cronuts® to enjoy with fresh coffee and a lesson on the finer points of making delicious coffee at RIVER CITY COFFEE & GOODS.

BONUS! To celebrate the start of our fourth season we'll stroll over the old McCurdy on the riverfront to visit MYRIAD BREWERY and see what's tasty on tap. This part of the tour is for adults only!

BONUS! BONUS! Let's be sure to check out the brand new game alley and catch a pose in front of the postcard-perfect selfie wall on Main Street! Main Street is looking really good -- have you seen it lately?

BONUS! BONUS! BONUS! This BONUS is pending, but we're hopeful (and almost 100% positive) the urban farmer will be around to show us his self-sustaining garden farm where he grows beautiful, fresh lettuce in a parking garage. The garden is powered by rainwater and tilapia fish! You have got to see this! Guaranteed to spark hope for the future of agriculture. If we aren't able too visit the site on this day, we will make arrangements to see it at another time.

Since we're celebrating the start of our fourth season and throwing in all these extra BONUSES, please realize all that goodness takes extra time. This tour will be about one hour longer than the usual tours and will run from 11:30 to about 3:00.

We'll meet at 11:00 at Franklin Street Pizza Factory to get chocolatized with a luscious chocolate entree. Just wait until you taste this chocolate pizza! After that, we'll walk over to KITE & KEY CAFE for homemade chocolate cakes and cookies and a chocolate latte to go with it! The world's best chocolate ice-cream awaits us at MILK & SUGAR SCOOP SHOPPE and we'll finish with a jolt of amazing coffee at WHITE SWAN COFFEE COFFEE LAB. You may have it hot or cold and with chocolate, or not. Come on! Get chocolatized with us!

Come and get your chocolate fix. Be sure to schedule a little siesta afterward, because you're going to need it!

We'll walk up the street to Bud's Country Rockin' Bar & Grill for some very good food and toe-tapping music. My guess is, you will become an instant fan! We'll savor wonderful German food at Gerst Haus and enjoy a fantastic pizza with the best thin crust around at Franklin Street Pizza Factory. Dessert and coffee will await us at Damsel Brew Pub on Wabash of the Flags (its recently had a name change from Maiden's Brewery to Damsel Brew Pub).

This tour would have met at 11:00 at Capers Emporium, 602 Main Street, New Harmony, to greet, shop and nosh on the snacks Capers is known for. Can anyone say "Crackalaka"?

At 11:30 we will head over to Sara's Wine Bar for a bottle of wine which will be chilled and waiting for us. At The Red Geranium we'll settle down with a delicious entree made just for us. Dessert will most likely be the best bread pudding with whiskey sauce you've ever tasted! It will be served with freshly brewed coffee at Yellow Tavern. Hands down, the Yellow Tavern's bread pudding fresh from the oven is the best I've ever had. I make bread pudding myself and theirs is better! (I do wonder how they do that -- and can assure you they aren't saying.) This is an ADULTS ONLY tour.

BONUS! Afterward we'll take a peak inside the A.C. Thomas House Bed & Breakfast, a gorgeous four story Victorian home on the square, only a few steps from The Granary. Bear in mind, if the house has guests staying over we will only tour the common areas downstairs. In the event it isn't occupied we may have access to all four floors of beautifully decorated rooms. There is an elevator for use.

For anyone wanting to stay over in New Harmony, the A.C. Thomas House accepts overnight guests with a reservation. Room prices start at $135. The whole house, when available, books for $1,100 and sleeps 16 people. Just think of what a fun get away that would be!
