Roll Out the Pumpkins!

“I love chocolate so much! If I wasn’t getting married on Saturday I would be on that Chocolate Tour!”

This is my favorite quote from last month.

The Pumpkin-Lite Lunch Tour is coming up next Saturday, September 29 at 11 o’clock.

Its called Pumpkin-Lite because, unlike the chocolate tour where we are over-stuffed with chocolate by the time we’re done, this one will have a slightly more reasonable amount of pumpkin mixed in with some really tasty down-home lunch food from Arazu on Main and Gerst Haus.

We'll get a good dose of pumpkin love with 3 Chicks fudge, and try a new pumpkin treat at River City Coffee & Goods. Kite & Key Cafe will sweeten us up with even more pumpkin!

TED the Trolley will drive us around town again on this tour and no one will go home hungry.

Do you like to take cooking classes?

I will be teaching a KETO cooking class that happens to be Gluten-Free as well. Truth told, you don't have to be on KETO or Gluten-free to love the food.

The date is Sunday, October, 7 at 4 PM at Capers Emporium on Main Street in New Harmony.

If you haven’t stepped foot in this kitchen & gift shop yet, you need to!

And the staff — wait until you meet the staff! They know their way around a kitchen and will not let you leave without feeding you something delicious!

This is a picture of me teaching a gluten-free class at Willard Library in 2012.

The Haynie’s Corner Dinner Tour is Thursday, October 11 at 6:30 PM.

It starts at Walton’s

with a unique, hearty appetizer. We’ll hit Mo’s House for 2 different handcrafted bar drinks. One will feature bourbon, delicious, smooth Kentucky bourbon. That’s all I know for sure and, for bourbon lovers it's all we really need to know.

At The Dapper Pig, Chef Wess Rose will dazzle us with something delicious!

If there’s one thing I’ve learned about getting the best food at neighborhood restaurants, its to let the chefs do their thing. So, Chef Wess, cook what you like!

We’ll enjoy dessert and freshly brewed coffee across the street at Sauced. Same thing there — the chefs know what’s good and that’s what they will serve us. There’s always something chocolate and another delightful surprise.

You’re going to love this tour. I always do!
